Canvas and CDS Relationships

New features on the Common Data Service is the relationships and this blog is part of a video posted on Youtube, we will describe most of the features benefits but I will recommend viewing the video.

the original documentation will give more details on how to create the Lookup fields and the relationships, the following link has the details

Create a Relationship between entities

The Following Canvas App I created using only one Data Source using the CDS, and I can get not only the fields on the Service Request custom Entity but traverse to other entities fields.

To get to the Account Name, we use the relationships and after the ThisItems. asc_AccountName we use the dot notation and can get to the related Account fields, we use the Account name to get to the value.

Similar to the Account I can get to the Leads and use the FullName field or use FirstName and LastName fields concatenated.
